Description:

This dynamic painting portrays Saint Michael the Archangel triumphing over Lucifer. Saint Michael, a winged figure with fair skin and flowing blond hair, is depicted in mid-action, wielding a spear downwards towards Lucifer. He wears a blue and gold tunic, a flowing red cloak, and sandals. His expression is one of determined power. Lucifer, depicted as a grotesque, muscular figure with dark skin and monstrous features, lies defeated beneath Saint Michael's foot, his mouth open in a scream. Serpents writhe around him.
