This oil painting on mahogany, completed between 1777 and 1780, depicts a vibrant and abundant arrangement of fruits and flowers. The composition includes grapes, pomegranates, pears, plums, apples, redcurrants, chrysanthemums, poppies, roses, jonquils, blue ornamental tulips, and peonies, along with insects such as a butterfly and flies. Due to the variety of flora depicted, it is likely that van Os relied on studies made across different seasons. The painting is currently located at the National Gallery in London.
