Description:

The painting depicts a scene of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary into Heaven. The Virgin Mary is the central figure, ascending upwards amidst a swirl of clouds and cherubic figures. She is clad in a blue mantle over a red garment, her arms outstretched in a gesture of awe and acceptance. Her gaze is directed upwards towards the divine light emanating from above. Surrounding Mary are several angels, depicted with large wings and flowing garments in shades of ochre, red, and white. They appear to be supporting her ascent, gazing upwards with expressions of reverence and joy. Below Mary, cherubic heads with small wings peek out from the clouds.
